iCare Hosts Series Of Festive Afternoon Tea Fundraisers
12th December 2016
Celebrating the efforts and dedication of other charities in the local community, iCare is welcoming a number of charities to its Gatelodge, Milford headquarters during the month of December for a series of fundraising festive afternoon teas.
The afternoon teas will be hosted by iCare in in its Milford Gatelodge Headquarters – which will be decked out in all its festive glory for the charity’s annual Santa’s Gatelodge Christmas extravaganza. Members of the iCare charity committee and volunteers will provide the refreshments and serving staff but 100% of all proceeds raised will be donated to the chosen charity. The afternoon teas are open to all members of the public and the entry fee is £12.50.
When deciding on which charities to choose, the iCare committee approached staff at Homecare Independent Living , the majority of whom volunteer throughout the year for the charity and asked them to nominate charities that were particularly close to their hearts.
Speaking about the fundraisers, iCare Committee founding member Caroline Rafferty said, “iCare has had a fantastic year with the charity granting 14 iCare Wishes in communities across the country; we are also gearing up for our biggest ever Santa’s Gatelodge extravaganza running for a record 22 nights from 25th November to the 16th December. We couldn’t do this without the continued support and dedication of our volunteers, the staff at HCIL, local businesses, sports clubs and community groups.
She added, “The charity wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate and support other local charities and assist their fundraising efforts. We have such a fantastic headquarters at the Gatelodge full of character; we thought a series of festive fundraising afternoon teas would be a great attraction for members of our community to come along and enjoy.”

The Niamh Louise Foundation – Tuesday 13thDecember, 12noon – 2pm
