The team at iCare were delighted to support eight-year-old Ella with her fundraising campaign for a new electric wheelchair.
Beautiful Ella is 8 years old, loves all things girly and is full of fun. She is a twin and was born prematurely at 28 weeks. She has cerebral palsy. Ella cannot walk & currently uses a self-propelled manual wheelchair, which means she cannot go out without the supervision of an adult.
Janine from iCare said, “Ella’s family have been fundraising with her school to raise funds for a new electric wheelchair. When Ella’s mummy got in touch with iCare, we were so pleased to be in a position to support the campaign.”
Speaking about the difference iCare’s donation made, Ella’s mum Vicky said “I would like to take this opportunity to thank iCare for their generous donation towards my daughter’s new electric wheelchair.”
She added, “This new wheelchair is electric, which means she can now go out with her siblings & friends & in her words, feel like a “normal” child. This will be life changing for her & me. Thank you all so much for this donation, it has made my daughter’s dream come true.”
iCare is committed to spreading kindness without limits through its iCare Wishes initiative. iCare is entirely self-funded through its own fundraising activities which have been significantly impacted due to COVID-19. We are still receiving regular iCare Wish requests from the public for medical equipment, machinery, appliances, etc from families who really need the support.
