Help to Fight Against Mental Health Problems for the Young People of Northern Ireland
Mental Health Statistics For Young People:
1 in 5 – felt sad, helpless, anxious or depressed
1 in 3 – had self-harmed before they were 16
1 in 3 – had suicidal thoughts or had attempted to take their own life
We as an organisation have created this product to help fight against mental health problems for the young people of Northern Ireland. Positivity Pocket'd is a Young Enterprise Company from St. Patrick's Academy. We are students who want to make a difference in the area of mental and physical well-being.
The book 'Positivity Pocket'd' is a small pocket journal that consists of exercises, facts, jokes, riddles, inspirational quotes and poems. There is a section of brain-teaser activities, consisting of word searches, sudoku, breathing exercises and crosswords. Our team found that there was a gap in the market for a planner that focused on improving both mental and physical well-being. The planner is light-hearted and fun and it is hoped it will enhance your positivity and put a smile on your face.
The 10 students of Saint Patricks Academy, Dungannon - aim to provide positivity in the lives of others through their product. They will donate 25% of all profit to the Niamh Louise suicide prevention charity based in Dungannon, Co.Tyrone
