iCare & Homecare Independent Living Support Katie Rose's Journey
Announced as Main Sponsor for Charity Ball
14th May 2019
Armagh based charity iCare and Homecare Independent Living (HCIL) have partnered to announce their lead sponsorship of Katie Rose’s Journey Charity Ball on Friday 7th June in the Armagh City Hotel.
Founded by a group of HCIL employees in 2010 and led entirely by a team of volunteers delivering a range of fundraising events annually, iCare delivers iCare Wishes to individuals, families and groups across the country; the charity’s motto is “you’ll find us where kindness can make a difference”.
Speaking about Katie Rose’s Journey, iCare Co-founder Janine Smalls said “The committee of volunteers behind Katie Rose’s journey are so dedicated to this campaign and have been absolutely fantastic in their efforts, we wanted to help where we could. Key members of our iCare committee, all HCIL staff - reached out to offer our assistance with their fundraising campaign in terms of event planning, administration, design and communication.”
She added, “Along with the HCIL senior management team, we agreed that iCare and HCIL would co-sponsor the main auction prize – a trip to New York for two people, along with dressing the room and the drinks reception for guests. We are delighted to support such a worthy campaign; we know the charity ball will be a fantastic event for Katie Rose and her family to raise these crucial funds for further treatment in the US.”
Katie Rose’s daddy. Kevin McKeown said, “Una and I would like to thank the team from iCare and HCIL who been supporting our fantastic committee with the Charity Ball. This significant sponsorship both with the auction trip to New York and other elements on the evening, is very much appreciated. We continue to be overwhelmed with support for Katie Rose’s campaign from our local communities and want to extend our deepest thanks.”
