There are so many people in communities across Ireland who sometimes just need a little bit of help. This can range from someone with a debilitating illness who perhaps needs specialist equipment or, a family in need, a community group who needs some support or a hospital in need of medical equipment.
So, when a group of volunteers got together in 2010, they came up with the idea of forming a charity which can do just that.
The iCare Charity carry out their work with the company's values at the heart of everything they do. Those values are:
So, based on these values, iCare was formed, a committee came together to run the charity and, since then, iCare has been helping individuals, community groups and organisations across Ireland, through acts of kindness.
In order for us to carry out acts of kindness, our team of volunteers need your help. This can be done in several ways including:
- Volunteering with iCare
- Fundraising on our behalf
- Nominating iCare as your 'Charity of the Year'
- Using our Text Donation facility
- Taking part in our fundraising activities
At the heart of iCare is the belief that we have the power to make a real difference to the lives of others either in a personal or a practical way.
So, in 2012, our committee launched the iCare Wishes initiative. This means members of the public can nominate a family, an individual, a group or club, to receive an iCare Wish - a wish which we hope will make a positive difference in someone's life.
In order to support iCare Wishes, our team volunteer their time to come up with fundraising ideas and events. All proceeds raised through our fundraising activities go directly to iCare.
